What can we expect if the North American continent’s choice between socialism and barbarism turns out to be the latter option? We can expect warfare within the major cities. We can expect humanitarian crises that force millions to become refugees, and to live within ever-expanding slum conditions. We can expect operations by corporate monopolies to profit from this death and destruction, cementing the dire circumstances that the vast majority of people live under.

In other words, without anti-colonial socialist revolution, the U.S. and likely Canada as well will become like the impoverished, violence-ridden countries they exploit. The U.S. military’s predictions

QAnon, the storming of the Capitol, and the other outbreaks of reactionary extremism that the U.S. has been experiencing in recent years are part of a ruling class drive towards paramilitarism in response to intensifications of class conflict. The goal is to import the kinds of paramilitaries that exist within Colombia, where unaccountable death squads that function officially outside of law enforcement or the military are assisting in the government’s campaign to massacre protesters.

It’s yet another manifestation of the “imperial boomerang,” where the types of violence that an empire creates around the world — in this case paramilitaries with…

Colonialism, capitalism, and imperialism create their own crises, especially when it comes to military conflict. They deprive vast swaths of the global population of food, water, shelter, healthcare, clean air, and freedom of movement while consequently imposing military occupations upon these populations out of fear that they’ll become unruly. This provokes these people to wage rebellions, which cause the forces of capital and empire to reactively enact massive violence and inquisitions against dissent. What this reaction from the centers of power leads to is so often the outcome that they fear most: victory for the victims of exploitation and subjugation.

The reactionary Christian ideology that’s driving support for the U.S.-Israel imperialist alliance, and that’s facilitating a campaign of internal inquisition against the opponents of capitalism and colonialism, is based on an utterly nihilistic view of social and economic systems. Just look at the Christian argument for why the Israeli occupation of Palestine should continue. Half of evangelicals support Israel mainly because they believe the existence of a Zionist state is crucial to fulfilling the Bliblical end times prophecy, where an apocalyptic war gets started which prompts Jesus Christ to return and bring the worthy up to Heaven.

The human costs…

Modern imperialism, like the socioeconomic system it’s based upon, is a house of cards. Capitalism, the socioeconomic system that it depends on to continue functioning, wouldn’t be able to go on if its range of market control were to shrink too much. This is because capitalism’s natural tendency towards growth inevitably creates for it a crisis of overproduction, which can only be alleviated by perpetually expanding its market control. As Michael Parenti observed, there can be socialism in one country, but there can’t be capitalism in one country.

This reality that capitalism will implode when sufficiently isolated is a consequence…

A dozen years ago, Ali Abunimah of The Electronic Intifada predicted that Israel “won’t survive.” The Zionist state is doomed, he concluded, because the reasoning used to justify its existence is being accepted by ever fewer people:

Zionism, an ideology of racial supremacy, extremism and hate, is a dying project, in retreat and failing to find new recruits. With enough pressure, and relatively quickly, Israelis too would likely produce their own de Klerk ready to negotiate a way out. Every new massacre makes it harder, but a de-zionized, decolonized, reintegrated Palestine affording equal rights to all who live in it…

The imperialists understand well how far asymmetrical, unconventional warfare tactics can go towards undermining a state. Until China’s deradicalization program put a stop to the terrorist attacks in Xinjiang several years ago, Washington dedicated decades to often successfully fomenting acts of Uyghur separatist violence within northwestern China with the hope of Balkanizing the country. Parallel terrorist attacks have since been facilitated by the imperialists in Hong Kong, where the National Endowment for Democracy has funded anti-communist rioters who’ve beat up PRC supporters, lit people on fire, and killed an old man with a brick.

There are many other instances of…

Two months ago, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Alberta Temitope Oriola predicted that the United States is “at risk of an armed anti-police insurgency.” I only just found out about Oriola’s analysis, but in the weeks since then, there have appeared global developments in the class and anti-colonial struggles which can help inform us on the potential implications of this coming insurgency.

Following the last decade’s beating back of Colombia’s revolutionary guerrillas, irrepressible uprisings have appeared within the country that have given new hope to the holdouts within the country’s remaining armed Marxist-Leninist rebel circles. Despite extreme…

This is a repost of one section from a recent article of mine, which is so long that many wouldn’t read the section otherwise.

How to turn entire communities of people within the U.S. into enemy combatants in the eyes of their neighbors, in the same vein as how Israeli settlers are convinced to celebrate the bombings of unarmed Palestinian civilians right near their homes? By establishing these people as collective enemies of what “Americans” are told to care about. …

This is a repost of one section from a recent article of mine, which is so long that many wouldn’t read the section otherwise.

Throughout the last decade or so, there’s been an Israelification of U.S. domestic security, where America’s police have been receiving training from the Israeli “counterterrorism” units that specialize in extrajudicial assassinations of Palestinian leaders, massacres of Palestinian civilians, and assaults of defenseless Palestinians.

Throughout the last decade, there’s emerged documentary evidence that this IDF training has caused U.S. police to murder more unarmed nonwhite people than they did previously, a fact that last year caused the…
